St Andrew Advent 2023

We invite everyone to join our parish community through participation in the following events and activities during this Advent Season!

St. Andrew Men’s Society Christmas Collection

This Christmas Season we will collect gift cards and gifts for those in our community in need both in local nursing homes and at St. Julia Catholic Church in Siler City. Cards will be collected from November 18 – December 17. More information is available in the Gathering Space. Please indicate gift card value on each card.

Reconciliation

There will be a Reconciliation Service at St. Andrew on Thursday, December 7, at 7:00 p.m. Reconciliation is also available each Saturday from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

If you are unable to make the Service at St. Andrew, other opportunities are posted below.

Christmas Memorials

Help make our Church beautiful this Christmas! Your memorials will be listed on our parish website. Use WeShare online or print a form here. Memorial deadline is Tuesday, December 19.

Touching Hearts

As in years past, our Touching Hearts Ministry is collecting women’s AND men’s fluffy socks now through December 15 to distribute to the assisted-living facilities in our area. Also, if we can collect enough, we would like to pair them with a bottle of body wash too! Please be as generous as you can and drop off your donations in the Touching Hearts’ box located near the reception desk of the Parish Office.

At Home with the Word Book Distribution

Want a deeper understanding of the Sunday readings? This book is available in the parish office and gathering space while supplies last. One per family please.

Tuba Christmas

TUBA CHRISTMAS is a community event sponsored by the Harvey Phillips Foundation and hosted by Saint Andrew. Low brass players from the Triangle area come together to perform Christmas carols. Anyone is welcome to sing along or tap their toes with the music! Any tuba or euphonium players that would like to participate should come at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday the 17th to register and rehearse. The event begins at 4:00 p.m.

Incense Use

Incense will be used at all Masses during Advent except for 9:00 a.m.
