Area Catholic School Registration Information

St. Andrew is a sponsoring parish for two K - 8 Catholic elementary schools (St. Mary Magdalene and St. Michael The Archangel). Therefore, one-third (1/3) of the available seats in each grade at both schools are reserved for children of St. Andrew's families who are identified as contributors of time/talent/ treasure and who submit the Student Application and Parent Ministry/Stewardship Information before the deadline dates. Student Applications for both schools are available online at each school’s website.

Important reminder for St. Andrew families wishing to apply to or re-enroll at either school: St. Andrew families MUST submit ALL completed paperwork to the St. Andrew parish office, NOT to the school.

(EXCEPTION: If submitting an application to St. Mary Magdalene electronically only the Parent Ministry/ Stewardship Information Sheet must be submitted to the St. Andrew parish office. ALL applications to St. Michael the Archangel school must be submitted to the St. Andrew parish office.)

  • Friday, Jan. 6, 2012: Deadline for submitting the Parent Ministry/Stewardship Information Sheet to the St. Andrew parish office for review and signature. Must be submitted each year.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012: Deadline for St. Andrew parishioners to submit completed new student applications, and re-enrollment forms, to the St. Andrew parish office.

The Open House schedule for St. Mary Magdalene and St. Michael The Archangel elementary schools is as follows (please confirm all times and dates with the respective school):

St. Mary Magdalene

  • Thursday, December 15, 2011 - Open House and Tours (all grades) 9:30 am to 11:00 am
  • Thursday, January 12, 2012 - Open House and Tours (K) 5:30 to 7:00 pm
  • Thursday, January 19, Open House and Tours (all grades) 7:00 - 8:30 pm
  • Friday, January 20, 2012 - Open House and Tours (all grades) 8:00 - 9:30 am
  • Friday, January 20, 2012 - Open House and Tours (rising 5-8 grades) 5:30 - 7:30 pm with activities for students
  • Please RSVP for the above Open Houses to the St. Mary Magdalene Admissions Office at (919) 657-4800, Ext. 7240 or e-mail klavon@stmm.net.

St. Michael The Archangel

  • Monday, January 9, 2012 - Middle School Open House - Grades 6-8 - 6:30 - 8:15 pm
  • Thursday, January 19, 2012 - Elementary School Open House - Grades K-5 - 6:30 - 8:15 pm
  • Tuesday, January 24, 2012 - St. Michael School Open House - All grades - 9:00 - 11:00 am
  • Interested new families are encouraged to attend one of the Open House dates listed above. If you are unable to attend one of the above Open House dates, please visit the school website for additional information or contact the Assistant Principal, Kathleen Langevin, at 468-6168 or klangevin@stmcary.org.

Parishioner Rate for Area Catholic School

When applying for the Catholic rate through St. Andrew for Cardinal Gibbons High School or local Catholic elementary schools, please be aware that we need a record of the following:

  • you are a registered parishioner
  • identifiable offertory
  • volunteer hours
