Fr. Alban Carroll Born on February 20, 1925 in Roxbury, MA. He graduated from high school in 1942 and served three years in the Army Air Corps. Fr. Alban entered the Friars of Atonement in Garrison, New York in 1947 and took final vows in 1952. Fr. received a BA in philosophy from Catholic University in 1951. He was ordained a priest in 1955 and taught for twelve years at the Atonement Minor Seminary in Montour Falls. In 1962/63 he received a Masters in French at the L'Universite Laval in Quebec City, Canada, he served for 6 years at the Chapel of Our Saviour in Brockton, MA and spent nine years in London, England doing educational & ecumenical work and was six years as pastor of St. John Fisher Church, Rochester, Kent, England. He then was assigned four years as guardian at the Graymoor Motherhouse, Garrison, NY.
A Farewell for Fr. Alban Fr. Alban celebrated his last Mass at St. Andrew on March 11, 2007. A full church was present to thank him for his many years of service and wish him well. Fr. Alban was very appreciative for everyone who attended, and welcomes your letters (see address in sidebar at left). After 10 years at our parish, he is transferring to the Friar's House in Washington D.C.
