 Cheryl Koller, Director of Music
Cheryl, originally from North Tonawanda, NY, joined St. Andrew’s parish in 1996 when she moved to the area with her husband, Chris, and two children, Caitlyn and Tim. She has a Bachelor of Music degree from the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY and a Master of Fine Arts in Music Education from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
During the first 12 years of her music career, Cheryl was a K - 8 general and choral music teacher in New York, Maryland, Virginia and Georgia. She also served as children's handbell director at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Vienna, Va for nine years before moving to our area. For the last eight years, she has been a Kindermusik educator at Kindermusik Kids of Cary.
In 2003, Cheryl joined St. Andrew's staff as the interim music director for the Children's Choir, Handbell Choirs, and Teen Choir. In addition to these programs, as Director of Music leads the adult choirs, helps plan special liturgical celebrations and oversees administrative duties in the music office.
