 Father Joseph Madden, OFM, CONV
Fr. Joseph has been a Franciscan Friar for 49 years, and a priest for 44 years. He spent five years ministering in Costa Rica, 18 years in the Northeast, 12 years in Canada and nine years in North Carolina. Throughout his priesthood, he taught for five years and the remainder of the time worked in parishes. In 2001, Fr. Joseph underwent a quadruple by-pass surgery. He said, "My compelling interest is Scripture and my advocation is Shakespeare." Fr. Joseph, who lives in Pittsboro, belongs to the Order of Friars Minor Conventual order.
