Most Holy Spirit, continue to enlighten our hearts with your wisdom and counsel. Fill us with the love of God. Help us to keep a perspective that we are to serve others. Instill in our hearts loyalty to Mother Church, Pope Benedict, Bishop Burbidge , and Father David. Keep us ever mindful that we are to represent God’s faith community and our entire parish family.
Lord, you came upon this earth not to be served, but to serve. Make us realize that our position on this pastoral council is to advise Father David and to work for the unity of the family of God.
Almighty Father, let us pray as though all depended upon you, yet work as though all depended upon us, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, through the love and knowledge of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
