Social Concerns
The Social Concerns ministry at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church is designed to help our parish carry out the teachings of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ by:
- increasing our parishioner's awareness of social issues
- serving as a resource center for people in our parish who want to get involved
- supporting all of the different ministries and committees in our parish that carry out the social mission of the Church
- seeking partnerships with other similarly focused groups and organizations outside our parish
- identifying opportunities for action

Immigration Reform The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has made Immigration Reform a major public policy within the Church. The Campaign's primary objectives are: -To educate the public, especially the Catholic community, including Catholic public officials, about Church teaching on migration and immigrants;-To create political will for positive immigration reform; -To enact legislative and administrative reforms based on the principles articulated by the bishops; and -To organize Catholic networks to assist qualified immigrants obtain the benefits of the reforms. Membership: Are you called to serve God through helping those in need and by advocating for justice and peace? Looking for opportunities to put your faith into action? Do you want learn about Catholic Social teaching and how to apply it in the world today? The Social Concerns committee is always seeking new members who are interested in improving the lives of the poor and in working to change polices that deny people dignity and respect..
