 Kati Rodgers - Director of Junior Youth Ministry
Kati Rodgers, a Wake County native, has been a parishioner at St. Andrews since July 1983. She brings special youth ministry training and volunteer experience to her position as the Director of Junior Youth Ministry (JYM).
For eleven years, Kati volunteered with both middle school and high school youth at our parish. She holds a certificate in youth ministry studies. The program, which meets four weekends a year over a two year period, covers topics such as evangelization and catechesis, justice and service, pastoral care, liturgy and worship, and leadership. She is currently working towards her Master Catechist Certification.
Kati said that she plans to focus on service opportunities. “Middle schoolers have a lot to offer – a lot of energy that is important to tap into. I want the ministry to be focused on building relationships within the community as well as within the church.”
She also wants JYMers to have fun. “My goal is to make sure the kids have as good or better time in JYM as I did when I was in the ministry as a youth – and I had a great time!” she said
