Seniors Brunch More than 100 seniors of our parish enjoyed a breakfast hosted by the Holy Spirit Enrichment home school group on Tuesday, April 29. This was the latest event in our parish's ongoing 25th Anniversary celebration. Thank you to all who attended, and to the hardworking youth of our parish who did a wonderful job hosting the event!

CPO Thank You
Dear St. Andrew parish,
On behalf of the people we serve at Catholic Parish Outreach, we want to thank you for your continued generous support. The response from your parish was overwhelming for the last "Feed a Family" food drive. We received 3 tons of groceries and $1,669 for families in need! Your support really makes a difference in our ministry. In March we gave a week's worth of groceries to 5,320 people (a 33% increase over March 2007), and the need continues to grow. Our outreach ministry to the needy would not be possible without the assistance of the members of our community and parishes. We are blessed by your devotion to helping the poor in our midst. May God bless you.
Sincerely, Terry Foley Director, Catholic Parish Outreach
Thank You From Cross International Catholic Outreach
Dear Parishioners,
I would like to thank you for your most generous response to our ministry Cross International Catholic Outreach when I was there on the weekend of Dec. 1 - 2, 2007. Your parish donated $14,526.92 that will have a direct impact in the lives of the poorest of the poor. May the Lord continue to bless all of you for your love and support!
Sincerely, Rev. Paul Farin
Haiti Goat Project Thank You!!!
A huge THANK YOU is extended to all of the parishioners of St. Andrew for the wonderfully generous support you have given to the Haiti Goat Project. We have not yet completed our final tally of donations for the project but, at last count, parishioners have contributed almost $18,000 and at least 10,000 vitamin tablets. Once again, God bless you for your generosity. It will make a difference in the lives of many children. Some of you may have read an article in the News & Observer regarding problems at Haiti's ports. Char Farin recently returned from Gressier (via Port-au-Prince) and reports that there have been no problems with our parish’s items getting into Haiti. Shipping is really not an issue for our project because we don't use tanker ship containers as a means to bring our materials in. Our in-country supplies are also not at risk because our relationships with those suppliers are in very good shape. Thank you for your concern!
Elementary Faith Formation Students Give Big! Social justice is integral to our Catholic faith. So - this Lent, our students in Elementary Faith Formation sacrificed one of their own toys to give to a child in need. Students gathered together in the Fellowship Hall to share their donations and to learn more about the Brown Bag Ministry.
Over 500 toys were collected. Brown Bag has expanded its outreach to include providing a monthly hot meal and birthday party to those in need at St. Julia’s parish in Siler City. The toys our children donated will be birthday presents to those children.
For more information about the Brown Bag Ministry, please visit our Brown Bag ministry page. You may contact Katie Fortunato about the Elementary Faith Formation program at elemfd@saintandrew.org.
APeX Ministries Spreads Faith With Laughter
On March 2 our faith community welcomed APeX Ministries as the second event of the parish's 25th Anniversary Celebration. The duo from Washington, D.C., used their gifts of juggling, humor and personal testimony to create a special evening filled with fun and faith.
The 100th “Week of Prayer” Service
Local Christian churches gathered with St. Andrew parishioners during the 100th “Week of Prayer” to worship together in prayer and song. Our parish would like to thank the local clergy who attended and the Apex First Baptist Church Choir for joining the celebration.
