St. Andrew is part of phase 2 of the Our Cathedral: One Faith, One People campaign that will kick off in late summer 2012. To watch a video explaining the 2012 BAA & diocesan Campaign, go to the Diocese's Catholic Perspective webpage and download Week of Jan. 23, 2012 from the list.

This year the High School Youth Ministry will support the Ronald McDonald House of Durham by collecting the little tabs you pull to open soda, soup or other aluminum cans. The funds generated from recycling these aluminum gems help offset the House's expenses. Tabs can be dropped off at St. Andrew Care Center.
Thanks in large part to the generosity of St. Andrew parishioners, the Macambre School in Haiti has been rebuilt and the children are once again able to attend school in classrooms. St. Andrew contributed about 20% of the total for the school. Other St. Andrew funds were used to help cover costs of running the farm where the goats are raised. Thank you for your support of Obinson Joseph and his work for the children of Haiti.
A big Thank You to Terry Korab, Deanna Nelson, Ed Outten, Chris Outten, Mike Spurr, Veronica Becerra, Tania Rodriguez, James Jordan, Dawne Galdi, Caroline Galdi, and Bill Carey for participating in another successful Adopt-a-Highway cleanup outing on Dec 3.
Congratulations to parishioner Mary Beth Bulter, the lucky winner in the quilt raffle. Fr. David drew the winning ticket on the Feast of St. Andrew, Nov. 30. Special thanks to Kinko Spencer (pictured right of Fr. David) who made the quilt and donated it to the parish for the raffle. The raffle raised close to $1500 for our parish renovation project!
Wondering what happened on the pilgrimage. Please check the blog!
On behalf of the people we serve at Catholic Parish Outreach, we want to thank you and your parish for the generous donations during the St. Andrew “Feed A Family” food drive. The response from your parish was over- whelming, with a donation of 3,500 pounds of groceries and $3,382 for families in need! In July we gave a week’s worth of groceries to almost 9,000 people! Our outreach ministry to the needy would not be possible without the assistance of the members of our community and parishes. We are blessed by your devotion to helping the poor in our midst. May God bless you.
Sincerely,
Terry Foley
