St. Andrew Feast Day & Year of Consecrated Life, November 30

November 30 is the Feast of St. Andrew, our parish’s patron saint. Please join us after all Sunday morning masses for light refreshments in the Fellowship Hall to celebrate!

Year of Consecrated Life

Bishop Burbidge will celebrate the 11:30 a.m. Mass at St. Andrew on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, the first Sunday of Advent, to open the Year of Consecrated Life.

Pope Francis proclaimed 2015 a Year of Consecrated Life, starting on the First Sunday of Advent, the weekend of November 29, 2014, and ending on February 2, 2016, the World Day of Consecrated life. The year also marks the 50th anniversary of Perfectae Caritatis, a decree on religious life, and Lumen Gentium, the Second Vatican Council’s constitution on the Church. Its purpose, as stated by the Vatican is to “make a grateful remembrance of the recent past” while embracing “the future with hope.”

Children's Liturgy

During the 9:30 a.m. Mass, our young children are invited to go to the Chapel after opening prayer to hear God’s Word proclaimed at an age appropriate level. Children return to Mass during the Offertory. Please check the parish calendar for Sundays that Children's Liturgy is available.

We are in need of adults and teens to lead and supervise the children. Please join us! This is a volunteer experience that is minimal in commitment but high in reward. Please contact Katie Fortunato at or 919-362-0685 x125 for details.
