Cheryl Koller, Director of Music
Cheryl is originally from North Tonawanda, NY. She and her family; husband – Chris, children - Caitlyn and Tim, joined St. Andrew in 1996. Cheryl has a Bachelor of Music degree from the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY and a Master of Fine Arts in Music Education from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
During the first 12 years of her music career, Cheryl was a K-8 general and choral music teacher in public and Catholic schools in New York, Maryland, Virginia and Georgia. She served as children’s handbell director at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Vienna, Virginia for nine years. She also taught Kindermusik for eight years at Kindermusik Kids of Cary.
Cheryl joined the St. Andrew’s staff in 2003 as an interim music director, and became the full-time music director in 2005. Her position includes directing the Adult Choir, Teen Choir, Children’s Choir and three handbell choirs. She also serves as wedding liturgy coordinator, funeral liturgy coordinator, and oversees administrative duties in the music office.
