This ministry knits/crochets shawls that are then blessed by one of our priests and given to the sick of our parish for physical and spiritual comfort. Use your skills in Christian service, enjoy adult fellowship, and spread God’s healing love in a special way to those who are ill. Meetings are the first Thursday of every month following morning Mass (from approximately 9:45 am to 12:00 noon).
Want to request a Prayer Shawl?
If you are homebound, undergoing major surgery or suffering from an ongoing illness, the ladies of St. Andrew’s Prayer Shawl Ministry are pleased to provide registered parishioners with a prayer shawl or lap rug blessed by our parish priest. Prayer shawls will also be available upon request to parishioners who function as the caregiver for a family member & to surviving spouses of the recently deceased. If you would like to be considered to receive a prayer shawl, please contact Lynn, X110, at the parish office.
