CPO Header

As an expression of Catholic social teachings, the mission of Catholic Parish Outreach (CPO) is to serve the needy families and individuals of our community by providing supplemental food and young children’s clothing. CPO is the largest food pantry in the Triangle.

CPO does more than just give out food. The food pantry gives hope to its clients by treating them with dignity and respect along with showing that volunteers come together with one purpose – to help them. CPO also provides a food stamp outreach program, and a resource list of other assistance throughout the community. It is a model throughout the state of how to serve the less fortunate in our communities.

Please visit our CPO website for more information.

Here is a little more information about CPO:

  • CPO is the largest food pantry in the Triangle.
  • A referral is not required to receive groceries though clients can only request groceries every 30 days.
  • CPO distributes groceries each weekday expect Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
  • In addition to groceries, clients can request, when available, baby food, formula, diapers, children’s clothing newborn-6T, feminine hygiene items, and adult disposable briefs.
  • 70% of CPO’s food is donated.
  • CPO met these needs with 4 staff members and many volunteers.
  • CPO food pantry has been serving those in need for nearly 50 years.
  • A tax-deductible donation of $50 feeds a family for one week.

CPO FOOD DRIVE – January 27 & 28!

  • Purchase groceries. Use the shopping list to the right as a guide or buy multiples (for example, a case) of a couple items.
  • No time to shop? Thanks to food donations and CPO’s volume buying power, a donation can go a long way. Monetary donations are tax deductible. Make your check payable to Catholic Parish Outreach and give it to a volunteer at the CPO truck during the food drive or mail it to us. Donate online here.
  • Would you like to help the weekend of our food drive?  Sign up here!

We’d love to have you join us!  To volunteer at CPO, email the Volunteer Coordinator at CpoVol.Coordinator@charitiesdor.org.
