Parish volunteers assist low income individuals with tax returns every Saturday beginning in late January through tax day in April. This ministry is part of the IRS’s Volunteers in Tax Assistance (VITA) program and volunteers are trained.
There is no charge. Returns are prepared in the CARE Center. You do not have to be a St. Andrew parishioner to receive this service – open to all who qualify. Bi-lingual services re available.
Tax Assistance for 2017 Returns
If your income in 2017 was $54,000 or less, you can take advantage of a free tax preparation service. Volunteers at St. Andrew stand ready to assist you in preparing your Federal and State income tax returns. Returns will be prepared in the CARE Center at St. Andrew on Saturdays from February 3 to April 14.
Appointments are required. To schedule an appointment please call the church office (919-362-0414) and ask for extension 118. Leave your name and contact information and someone will be in touch with you to schedule an appointment.
If you are considering itemizing your deduction, please bring totals organized and ready for filing.
