25th Annivesary Celebration - Thank You! This past weekend marked the end of our 25th anniversary celebration which began last January. We'd like to recognize some parishioners and staff who worked very hard to make the year a successful celebration. Mark Luczak and Josh Markwordt for donating their art talent to create the beautiful artwork of our church campus. Nancy Cremmins for donating her graphic design services. Fr. Tom for organizing the Week of Prayer Service. The Holy Spirit Enrichment homeschool group who hosted the Seniors Brunch. Kati Rodgers and Terri Reed for bringing the APeX Ministry performers to our parish. Cheryl Mironczuk for early planning contributions. Cheryl Koller and our Music Ministry for the Spring Concert and the parish's new music CD, Silver Celebration: Songs from the Journey. Carrie Adas for decorating and planning. Nancy Snipes who headed our fundraising effort. Jan Boletchek and Sr. Mary Therese for many hours of work creating the photo display of our parish history. Mauricio Rangel, Ron Myers, and Jim Lewis for photography. The Friars of the Atonement for their years of service to our faith community. . . . And everyone else who donated their time and talents! Thank you!
Welcome Back! This weekend several prior religious at St. Andrew are returning to help us celebrate our 25th Anniversary, including Fr. Bill Schmidt, Fr. Joe Cavoto, Fr. Ken Cienik, Fr. Frank Eldridge, Sr. Anne Heath, and Sr. Patricia Wilson. We welcome them and all the prior parishioners who have traveled to join us! Thank you - we are so glad you are here for our 25th Anniversary celebration.
Catholic Parish Outreach Thank You On behalf of the people we serve at Catholic Parish Outreach, we want to thank you for your generous donation during the St. Andrew "Feed a Family" Food Drive. The response from your parish was overwhelming, with a donation of 2.4 tons of food and clothing and $2610 for families in need! In July we set a new record of giving groceries to 6040 people, and for the first 6 months of this year, we've provided food to 28% more people than the same time last year. Our outreach ministry to the needy would not be possible without the assistance of the members of our community and parishes. We are blessed by your devotion to helping the poor in our midst.
May God bless you. Sincerely, Terry Foley Director, Catholic Parish Outreach Rick Miller-Haraway Regional Director, Catholic Charities
Brown Bag Thank You Many thanks from Saint Julia Church in Siler City, NC to the Brown Bag Ministry for their help with food, storage, money and especially for time and talent displayed every second Saturday of the month. We at Saint Julia are able to supply food for our needy, especially the ones who lost their jobs when Pilgrim?s Pride closed. God has provided two wonderful angels in Karen Giles & Mary Jo Bukowski. They have truly gone beyond the call.
Thank You to Troop 316 for Brown Bag Food Collection The Brown Bag Ministry would like to extent a heartfelt thank you to St. Andrew's Boy Scout Troop 316. The boys in this troop collected over 1,000 pounds (1/2 ton) of food for our Siler City outreach. Top contributors were John Kocor, Brandon Cox, and John Kastl. Through the efforts of the 14 scouts that participated, many mouths will be fed.
Wow! Thank you for a hugely successful Food Drive The recent Summer Food Drive for Western Wake Crisis Ministry (WWCM) and for our neighbors at St. Julia’s parish in Siler City was a huge success! Through your generosity we collected about 3 TONS of food which will help feed many needy families in our local and extended communities. Thanks to everyone who donated food and money and to all the volunteers who donated their time to help collect, sort and transport all 3 tons of food.
Thank you Music Ministry! We'd like to express a huge thank you to our parish music director, Cheryl Koller, and all the members of the parish music minstry for the 25th Anniversary Spring Concert on May 16. Many hours of hard work went into preparing for the concert. Thank you for sharing your musical talents with our parish!
Seniors Brunch More than 100 seniors of our parish enjoyed a breakfast hosted by the Holy Spirit Enrichment home school group on Tuesday, April 29. This was the latest event in our parish's ongoing 25th Anniversary celebration. Thank you to all who attended, and to the hardworking youth of our parish who did a wonderful job hosting the event!
