Children have the opportunity to engage with peers and explore thematic units using their growing vocabulary and five senses. Teachers provide experiences for the children to engage in cooperative play, creative expression, and motor development. Developmentally appropriate activities geared to the child’s individual level support these goals and are further enriched through stories and music. Teachers encourage the development of kindergarten readiness skills such as letter/number recognition, beginning sounds, and problem solving.
